All Doctors provide a complete and confidential family planning advice service, including emergency contraception. Stowhealth also hosts the iCaSH SUFFOLK service every Monday evening 5.00pm to 7.00pm (until 31st March 2018) who can be contacted on 0300 123 3650 or visit their website www.icash.nhs.uk


Emergency Contraception

Please call the On The Day Team as soon after your episode of unprotected sex for advice and to arrange possible prescription of ‘levonelle’ which can be used up to 72hrs after the event.


Contraceptive devices and implants

Coils and Intra-Uterine Devices can be fitted at Stowhealth, subject to our trained doctors (Dr Skioldebrand and Dr Laidler) and our trained Nurse Sarah Canfer having availability. Generally IUS/COILS are fitted on a Thursday late morning and IMPLANTS on a Friday. An appointment should be made with Nurse Sarah Canfer for further discussion.


Free Condom Service – Suffolk CCARD Scheme

If you are between 13 and 24 years of age you can register for free condoms without seeing a Dr/Nurse. You need to register for a CCARD and can obtain condoms any any CCARD outlet from across Suffolk.

Sexual Health screening (including Chlamydia)

We are encouraging all 16-24 year olds to be tested for Chlamydia, an infection that is sexually transmitted but can silently affect your fertility.
