Stowhealth is open during the following hours. Please note that on Saturday's we are only accessble by pre-booked appointment with either the Nurse or Doctor. If you would like a Saturday appointment please ask to speak to your Doctor in the week beforehand.

Appointments

Save time and book online - no more queuing on the telephone!

Click on the link above and submit your request online.  We will usually get back to you within 2 hours (after 4:30pm it might be the next day).

You can request the doctor or nurse (as long as they are working) of your choice and choose to be contacted by the surgery by telephone or secure message.  If we need to see you we will usually give you an appointment the same day.

You will need to register the first time you use askmyGP, but this can easily be done online without any paperwork by clicking the link above.

AskmyGP is available to all Stowhealth patients and you can use it to ask about your children or other people you care for (as long as they are registered with us).

We are encouraging everyone who has access to a computer, smart phone or tablet to use askmyGP from the link above or on our home page.

If you do not have access you can still contact the surgery by telephone on 01449 776000 and speak to the reception team who will make your appointment for you.

To ensure you get the care and support from your preferred GP please try and contact us on the day that your GP works. The days the GP are usually available are:

GP+ Appointments

Suffolk GP+ is for people who urgently need a doctor’s appointment or are unable to see their GP during normal GP hours.

Appointments can be made via Reception during our usual opening hours.  Please note that patients cannot refer themselves to this service.

The service is staffed by local Suffolk GPs and Nurse Practitioners in Ipswich, Felixtowe, Stowmarket, Leiston and Wickham Market and is an NHS service delivered by the Suffolk GP Federation.

You will be given a booked appointment and will be seen by a suitable local GP or nurse who will have access to your medical records (once consent is given).

Appointment System Fact Sheet

We undertook a patient survey in June and July 2013 to evaluate how well the new appointment system is being received. In fact it was very well received with 51% of patients reporting it better than the previous system and 31% reporting it the same. Online access to appointment booking blood tests and viewing your summary records

We now provide patients with the ability to book (or cancel)  blood appointments for the near future using the Systemone online facility

Here you will also find access to you summary clinical record. You will be required to set up a user account and password. To verify your identification it is necessary to bring two forms of Id or photgraphic ID to reception who will create your online account for you. In the first instance please speak to reception on 01449 776000
